India launches its first redeveloped railway station in Gandhinagar, Gujarat

India inaugurated its first redeveloped railway station, Gandhinagar Capital Station in Gujarat. The station features a five-star hotel, which is spread across 7,400 square metres and has 318 rooms. It also features a 40-seater centralised AC waiting lounge. It has three elevators, two escalators, and two underground subways connecting platforms. The station also has an interfaith prayer hall.
