Meet 26-year-old Captain Tania Shergill who highlights the growing role of women in the Indian Army

Captain Tania Shergill, an officer with Army’s Corps of Signals, was the first woman parade adjutant for the Republic Day parade this year. A parade adjutant is responsible for the parade.

She also held the all-men contingent on Army Day on January 15. She represents the fourth generation in her family to serve the Army.
