Children First spoke to Dr. Arti Anand, Clinical Psychologist, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi to find out how to stay happy during lockdown. She has given some tips which could be useful. Try them out and let us know what you have been doing…

1 Be busy. Have a fixed schedule. Help in household chores.
2 Distract yourself from negative thoughts and emotions by listening to music, reading and watching and entertaining program.
3Do a short term course or pursue your hobby.
4 Write a diary, poem, short stories, etc.
5 Eats well and drink fluids. Take proper sleep and avoid irregular sleeping patterns. Be physically active. Do yoga in the morning and indoor play in the evening.
6 Communicate and spend time with your family. Play lot of games including board games and jigsaw puzzles. Watch meaningful content on television together such as documentaries, plays, educational films. Video call your grandparents or relatives and friends. Enjoy cooking and baking and try fireless recipes.
