Russia announces world’s first COVID-19 vaccine

Russia dubbed its newly launched vaccine against coronavirus ‘Sputnik V’ after the Soviet satellite. It is being claimed that the vaccine underwent the necessary tests and the daughter of Russian President Vladimir Putin received a shot of the vaccine to test it.

However, the vaccine’s registration is conditional and the final stages of clinical trials to test the safety and efficacy of the vaccine continue.
